Naked as Created

A discussion with some of the cast-and-crew behind Naked as Created: The Pastor Jim Moore Story, a new Christian naturist feature film based on the real life of naturist pastor Jim Moore. Producer, co-writer, and actor Tim Chizmar walks through how the project grew out of a collaboration with Moore on his father’s book series. But he then saw the story potential of dramatizing Moore’s own journey about being “outed” as a nudist pastor with the backlash, and freedom, that followed. Moore, his real-life daughter Rachael Moore (who stepped into a lead role after the original actress was unable to participate), lead actor Christopher Michelli, antagonist actor Dan Hawkins, Melody Munson, and Dana Trantham each share what it took to bring the film to life on a minuscule $150,000 budget and a 12-day shoot upended by the 2025 Southern California fires.

The Naturist Society

The Naturist Society (TNS), founded in 1980 by Lee Baxandall (1935-2008) has been pivotal in promoting body acceptance, personal freedom, and harmony with nature. Through its magazine Nude & Natural, the World Guide to Nude Beaches and Recreation, national gatherings, and advocacy efforts, TNS has united naturists, fostered public understanding, and defended rights to clothing-optional recreation. Tim Chizmar interviews Nicky Hoffman who has been working with TNS since 1985. She took over the leadership of TNS in 2001 when Lee retired. She was part of a group of staff members that included Margaret Thornton and Judi Ditzler that purchased TNS.

Thank you to the PODCAST PRODUCERS GUILD for recording this interview for Tim.
